Foreign School Records
Foreign school records are used for grade placement
and verification of credits earned.
Foreign school records are interpreted for placement and
evaluated for credits at Attendance Services, at no cost.
Please contact us by calling 305-884-2044.
Original foreign school records are required in order to
grant credits. Please submit a completed Foreign
Records Fax Cover sheet with the student records.
Foreign school records may not be available. In these
instances, you may utilize the Temporary Student
Placement FM 6008 Rev(02-01.)
Foreign school records are not required for registration.
Student Grade Placement
The department of Foreign Records and
Student Visas in Attendance Services assists
Miami-Dade County Public Schools with
immediate interpretation of foreign records such
as transcripts, birth certificates, passports, and
guardianship letters for proper placement into
our school system.

Student Visa
The department of Foreign Records and Student Visas in
Attendance Services provides assistance with securing
completing, and submitting appropriate immigration forms.
This is the only Miami-Dade County Public Schools
department with personnel authorized to complete the I-20
form, required for an F-1 and M-1 Visa. Other functions
include the maintenance and guardianship of client files
and the collection of tuition reimbursement, as required by
current immigration law.

 Flyer should be posted or distributed to parents to
help guide them to answer school related
immigration issues.
 Foreign exchange students (J-1 Visa) requesting
placement in your school are to be directed to the
department of Foreign Records/Student Visas in
Attendance Services for processing. Do not sign
the IAPP-66 Form (ACCEPTANCE FORM).
 Parents, students or staff with immigration issues
are to contact Federal and State Compliance
Office by calling 305-884-2044 ext.1 or 4.
