What we do

Referral Pathway
• Before CAF was implemented, a single point of
referral was set up, by CCAMHS and Educational
Psychology, joined by all support services, to be
accessed by schools
• Most appropriate service allocated case quickly
• Helps to avoid duplication
• Allows onward referral and joint working between
services
EYMHS
• Based in Children’s Centres
• Direct therapeutic work with referred
families
• Group work (Social Baby, Motherhood in
Mind, Triple P, Incredible Years)
• Training and consultation
EYMHS Training
• The EYMHS have developed a three-session,
Early Years mental health training
programme, with a focus on attachment
• Offered to every Early Years worker in
Sunderland
CCAMHS Training
• Training menu offered to all Tier 1
professionals
• Links to the SEN training plan which are firmly
established so accessible
• Deliver SCAMHP as a baseline training
• Additional disorder-based training offered
Healthy Schools Programme
• Theme 4 relates to our knowledge and
expertise
• Opportunity to work with education and public
health partners
• Training opportunities
• Moderation allows the chance to see and be
seen and to see how a particular school works
