– Review TWU policies on faculty performance review and
recommend revisions
– Resolve ambiguities in current evaluation processes
– Recommend additional approaches beyond student course
evaluations to evaluate instructional effectiveness
– Explore possibilities for reducing workloads associated with
conducting performance reviews
– Make recommendations regarding the possibility of adopting
teaching and research faculty performance tracks, including
criteria for each track

Methodology
• Research performance review policies and practices at peer
universities
• Review literature on faculty performance review topics

• Develop recommendations for policies and procedures
• Conduct faculty focus groups on recommendations
• Communicate with faculty throughout the process so that
recommendations are viable when presented

automated feedback on learning that is free
to everyone with no expectation of direct
interaction with an instructor.
