PAPERLESS TIME SHEET BASICS
• Who uses the paper less time
sheet application?

TIMEKEEPING PROCEDURES

sheet due?

HOW TO REGISTER/LOG ON
• When can you register?
• At DHMH Central, you will log on at
http://timesheet.dhmh.maryland.gov.
• From remote locations, you will long on at
http://etimesheet.dhmh.marland.gov/PTSWeb
• Using the assigned EIN and an assigned
temporary password, you will log on and
create your own password.
HOW TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD
YOUR EIN
Your Unique
Identifier number
that will remain
the same
throughout your
DHMH career.
Used to log into
the paperless
timekeeping
system.
TIMESHEET DUE DATE
The due date
follows the end of
the pay period
when the
timesheet must
be submitted.
PAY PERIOD DATES
Pay Periods:
Begin at the end
of last shift at
11:59PM on
Tuesday/12:00AM
Wednesday.
ELIGIBILITY/COMP TIME
Shows if an
employee is
eligible for
overtime or comp
time.
Indicates hours
and days that
comp time is
earned /used
through the leave
activity date.
ACCRUAL/BALANCES
Accrual hours
indicate the rate that
an employee accrues
leave.
Balances of leave
accrual in hours and
days through the
date shown. Leave
is available if
accrued in prior pays
even though it may
not be represented
here.
LEAVE/VACATION
Balances for all
leave are reflected
through this date.

Information Included on your Time Sheet:
• Leave Activity: One pay period behind.
• Bi-weekly Accruals: Show rates earned.
• Leave Balances: Are shown in hours and
days. This includes comp time earned.
COMPLETING YOUR TIMESHEET (CONT)

Is found on the far right center of the
time sheet in the Notes section and
contains a tutorial for the paperless
system.
• The Tenth Chart – tool used for positive
timekeeping.

• Overtime and
Comp Time
• Overtime Voucher
REMARKS
• This section is
available for
comments.
• Remarks may not
be removed once
the “Save Daily
totals” button has
been clicked.
LEAVE DOCUMENTATION
Documentation is required for
the following leave:
• Interview appointment
• Jury notices or subpoena
• Military duty
• Medical documentation
(for absence of 5 or more consecutive workdays)
LEAVE DOCUMENTATION (CONT)
Documentation is also required for the following
types of leave:
• Grievance hearing and preparation
• Release time
• Merit system testing
Failure to provide documentation by the close of business the
pay period immediately following the absence may result in the
time being changed to leave without pay
