Reform and Implement the New Curricula

Reform curriculum in each of the four departments in the
faculty of Engineering to reflect international standards

Assist faculty members in developing new courses in
each of the four departments and revise existing courses

Implement a credit system for courses

Improve Teaching

Prepare course syllabi for the courses and identify educational
outcomes

Assist faculty members in selecting appropriate teaching materials
and supplies


Provide training in the contemporary pedagogy
Replace reliance on a single final exam with continuous quizzes and
exercise to assess student learning


Provide contemporary textbooks to both teachers and students
Institute monitoring and assessment of courses

Increase Access to Information Technology and
Library Resources

Develop a robust expandable IT system plan to support usage of
computers

Specify the hardware and software necessary to implement the IT
system

Fully train staff to maintain and operate IT system

Reference library with automated book location and management

Electronic/virtual library with on-line access to the major
departments

Train library staff to establish, maintain, and operate the library

Automated text book management system

Raise Level of English Proficiency

Provide a program of English instruction
for members of the Faculty of Engineering

Establish and operate a sub-department
