The following are 11 groups of characteristics that were grouped by participants of the August 29, 2006 CNAP members for similarity and are not in priority order: One Training Shared application for lay staff vision & for all mission programs Share ideas & training Action Ease of & oriented useresources application process Materials useable in Data all program sharing forums Increased access fruits/veg (locations) Include advocacy for systems changes Community engagement The ability to tailor the program to the local community Getting the word out to the community Multiple communications channels Clear communication Understanding of process-both at local & USDA level Reliable communication structures inter/intra organization Flat organization Behavior Same oriented message Multi-media “flooding” of message Common message Make 5 a day the normfashionable, cool Involve all or most program/ stakeholders Variety of voices Support efforts of partners Best intentions forward Everyone benefits Able to be evaluated Planning for Collaboration County Nutrition Action Plan GOAL: Effective sustainable partnerships and collaborative interventions between USDA nutrition assistance programs s to promote fruit and vegetable consumption in Alameda County. Objective: To increase access, utilization and/or participation of the existing nutrition assistance programs for the food stamp eligible population throughout Alameda County.
