What do they mean?
How do you translate them?
The amount of shading indicates
the % of sky (cloud) cover.
This is a 2 meter temperature. That means
the temp 2m above the ground.
The Dew Point is the air temperature at which
the humidity will reach 100%. The dew point
temp is important for calculating cloud height,
and humidity.
NE
The wind barb points in the compass direction that the
wind is coming from. The wind blows toward the
opposite compass direction.
These lines indicate Wind Speed. Long
lines mean 10 knots, short lines indicate
5 knots. Flags mean 50 knots.
The Current Weather is indicated by one of
many different symbols. Refer to your chart.
The Air Pressure number here needs to be “decoded”. If the
number begins with a 6,7,8,or 9. then precede the number with a
9, and make the last number a decimal.
EX: 975 becomes 997.5
If the number begins with a 0 through 5. Then precede
the number with a 10, and make the last number a
decimal.
EX: 342 becomes 1034.2
The Air Pressure Tendency is the “trend” of the AP
in the last 3 hours. Up, Down or steady by the
value shown.
