Goal #1
 Mountain people are empowered to effectively raise
their voices in national, regional, and global processes
and platforms;
Goal # 2
 Natural and cultural resources and sacred/unique
landscapes are conserved and promoted for improved
livelihoods
Goal # 3
 Mountain communities and ecosystems are supported
to better adapt to global changes (including climate
change)
Goal # 4
 Informative, reliable, and interactive knowledge hub
operated to fulfill the needs of the MP members from
all mountain regions
Goal # 5
 Mountain agenda as articulated in Rio+20 declaration
is mainstreamed in global multilateral environmental
agreements (MEAs) and processes
Goal # 6
 Mountain perspectives are included in the Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs)and revised MDGs of the
United Nations
