What is EAM?
 Enterprise asset management (EAM) means the whole
life optimal management of the physical assets of an
organization to maximize value. It covers such things as
the design, construction, commissioning, operations,
maintenance and decommissioning/replacement of plant,
equipment and facilities.
 "Enterprise" refers to the management of the assets
across departments, locations, facilities and, in some
cases, business units. By managing assets across the
facility, organizations can improve utilization and
performance, reduce capital costs, reduce asset-related
operating costs, extend asset life and subsequently improve
ROA (return on assets).

Why Infor EAM?
 Life Extension - Life-cycle extension of an asset is the amount of time that an asset
can be extended beyond the projected life expectancy.
 Capacity Factor - The capacity factor of a manufacturing facility is the amount of
product that it produces over a period of time, divided by the amount of product it could
have produced if it had run at full capacity over that time period.
 Equivalent Availability - The availability factor of a manufacturing facility is the
amount of time that it is able to produce product over a certain period, divided by the
amount of the time in the period.
 Quality - The quality factor of a manufacturing facility is the amount of product produced
per unit consumed divided by the product produced utilizing 100% of the input.
… these 4 factors directly impact expense and net income!
