sponsoring a Capital Campaign to assist with
the six proposed library renovations.
The current Campaign Goal for Ludington is
$2.3 million

Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 11:00 A.M.
prevailing time for the Ludington Library
Renovation/Expansion, it is the
recommendation of the Purchasing Agent
with the approval of the Architect and
Engineer (VITETTA) and the Director of
Libraries that contracts be awarded to the
following responsible low bidders.

Alternate #4, the Township Engineer recommends
repair of the existing EPDM roof & application of a
10-year warranty extension. Repairs to be undertaken
in coordination with the expansion project.

In accordance with proposals received on Friday,
October 23, 2009 for the Ludington Library Book
Relocation Services, it is the recommendation of the
Purchasing Agent, with the approval of the Director
of Libraries, that the Township Manager enter into a
contract with:

Staff will be recommending, at an upcoming Finance Committee
Meeting, that the Township Manager be authorized to enter into a
contract or contracts for shelving and furnishings (State Contract)
- $1,061,000 estimate
Staff will be recommending a bid award through an upcoming
Finance Committee Meeting for technical equipment to implement
RFID for the Ludington Collection
- $295,000 estimate
Staff will be recommending a bid award through an upcoming
Finance Committee Meeting for a contract or contracts to install
Voice, Data, Public Address, and Video Security System Wiring &
Hardware
- $325,350 estimate

The Department of Libraries has
studied the goals and costs of the
Ludington Project for five years and
strongly recommends that the project,
as scoped, be carried out.
PUBLIC COMMENT
