In Mr. Sage’s Third Grade class, the mission of the students, teachers, family, and
community is to think deep, learn together, and exercise our brain, by staying
focused, working outside the box, and listening with our ears, eyes, and heart to
prepare for higher grades, be a reliable resource for others, and to be an excellent
person throughout life.

 The Social Studies texts can be accessed online at www.eduplace.com using the
following steps:
 Select Georgia and Social Studies, then click the link at bottom that says eservices.

 For Math, Log on to www.eharcourtschool.com
 Your child’s Username will be sent home after ITBS testing. The password for
all students is math
 Parents and students may access the Harcourt Science textbook online at
www.thinkcentral.com. Each school has a generic user name & password. The user names
are “schoolname”teacher (e.g. varnerteacher) and the password is “science.” Additional
information and support for using the online textbook resources are posted on the ES Science

your child to school on

Scholastic Book Clubs
 Your child will have the opportunity to
order books and software each month.
You can write one check for all orders in
the Scholastic catalogues.
 Please be sure to return orders by the due
date on the bottom of each form.
 This is a great way to order books
inexpensively!
Micro-Community Jobs
 Students will be paid twice a month. They can
spend their money on Sageville Community
purchases such as read to another class, pet visit,
eat lunch with a friend or Mr. Sage, etc.
 They can also spend their money at the school store.
I ask that your child brings in two items each month
for the store. These items should not be more than
$5.00 each. Dollar stores have great toys! Citizens
visit the store once a month.
 Students will also have the opportunity to attend
the “Payday Celebrations” we have once every
nine weeks. If you can come in to work with the
students creating a craft or something, please let
me know.
