 Nutrition Assessment is one of the three major subdivisions
of IDNT terminology
 Consists of set of observable entities
 Organized hierarchically, subdivided into six domains with
varying numbers of terms

The AND has already made substantial strides
toward mapping and submitting SNOMED CT
terms for use in HL7 Standards.
We are now beginning the process of mapping to
and submitting LOINCs.
Of immediate interest is the creation of LOINCs
for use in Nutrition Status Observation and
Nutrition Assessment Templates
