Attendance/Residence
Information
• Pupil’s Attendance Information: All students should be “04”
for “non-resident choice”
• This prompts the requirement to report the student’s area of
residence which is one of the following:
• District of Parent’s Residence for Non-Residence Students OR
• Country of Parent’s Residence for Non-Residence Students OR
• State of Parent’s Residence for Non-Residence Students
• Do not mark “CO” for state for students whose parents live in
the state of Colorado

Auditing Documentation
• All schools:
• Each School is responsible for providing all documentation to
CSI using the FTP no later than December 5th

Bell Schedules
School Calendar (on file with CSI)
Student Schedules for all secondary students
Attendance at least 11 day attendance window (up to school to
determine the additional window that will be provided)
• EDS/FRL forms (for at-risk; randomly selected by auditor, CSI will
notify schools whose EDS forms have been selected)
• ELPA-WIDA W-APT tests
• (NEP, LEP, since these are what derive funding for ELPA)
Counting Students for Audit
• Enrollment-must be actively enrolled
• Attendance-must meet attendance criteria
• Scheduling-must show that full time students meet 360 hours
or more per semester of teacher student contact time or
greater than 90 hours for part-time per semester
• All secondary students (7-12) must have individual student
schedules created on October 1 and as of October 1
Attendance
• Student must establish attendance with the school on or
before the pupil enrollment count day (October 1).
• If they enroll and attend after October 1, then they aren’t
eligible to be counted.
• if the student is present on October 1, then the student will be
counted.
• If the student is not present on October 1, the following must
apply:
• The student attended before October 1 and resumed attendance
within 30 days after October 1
• Auditing will look at the 11 day count window, and if they cannot
establish attendance within this window they will request additional
attendance documents
Scheduling
• Bell schedule shows daily schedule to determine number of
hours per day
• Yearly school calendar determines number of days
• This determines a total number of hours per semester of
teacher student contact hours
• At least 360 hours is full time funding (kinders only eligible for
part-time and DOB constraints)
• At least 90 hours is part time funding

• In 14-15, full time is 6 college credits and 3 credits for part time
• In 15-16, full time is 12 college credits and 3 credits for part time

Please read this manual in its entirety! This impacts your
funding and audits!!!
CSI is audited yearly, and each student must have verified pupil
membership including:
• Attendance-present during count window
• Enrollment-actively enrolled
• Scheduled hours for secondary students (ALL secondary
students, including 7 and 8 grade students in a K-8)
Also audited:
• ELPA status, as applicable
• At-risk (Economic Data Survey Forms, or FRL forms)
• Transportation, as applicable

(FOR SECONDARY STUDENTS) FOR
AUDIT DOCUMENTATION
Attendance Documentation for Count Window
Select the “System Reports” link from the start page.
• Select the “Class Attendance Audit” link.
• Insert appropriate date range (the 11 day count window is Wednesday
September 24 through Wednesday, October 8), select attendance
period, leave everything else set to the system default and hit the
Submit button located in the bottom left corner of the page.
• Click the “Refresh” button until the Status of the report shows
“Completed”.
• Once the Status has changed to “Completed”, click on the “View” link to
open the page.
• The End result should provide you with a snap shot of the Attendance
window for the 2013-2014 October Count.
Save the file as a .pdf and review to ensure all students are accounted
for in the attendance documentation
Student Schedules
• Schedule has to be as of October 1! You should create them at
the end of the count day!
• Schedules can be generated several different ways in
PowerSchool.
• Mass Print a Student Screen.
• Create a Student Schedule via the various report types in
PowerSchool
• Run the Student Schedule Listing located under the System
Reports Function.

For all schools with secondary students (examples: K-8, 9-12,
6-12)
Print Screen or Save Screen Shot.
Enrollment Information
• Please have on file and accessible all enrollment
documentation so if requested by the auditor, you can provide
it.
