Objective
Parking sign design
The intent is to honor and recognize the sacrifice of Family members who have lost a loved
one in military service by providing designated parking for Families of the Fallen. The
approved parking sign will serve as a method to promote awareness and educate the military
community on Families of the Fallen.

•
Place one Survivor parking sign @ these locations:
Casualty Assistance Centers, Army Community Service (ACS) facilities, SOS offices,
Commissaries, Post Exchanges and Medical Treatment Facilities. Additional facilities at
Garrison Commander’s discretion.
•
Advertising of Survivor Parking Signs
• Maximize publicity of the new SOS parking signs for Families of the Fallen by using article(s) in post newspaper,
community calendar, installation/garrison websites, social media, print and email newsletters, e-mail blasts, Commander’s
channels, etc. Include thumbnail of parking sign design when possible to increase awareness of the signs.
