Ver and Dar are almost
the same- they have
different stems.
Ser and Ir are conjugated
exactly the same in the
preterite.

**These conjugations do not have any accents!

Ser- to be

Ir- to go

-Fuimos al parque el

Because Ir and Ser are conjugated exactly the same in the preterite, you
must use clues in the sentence to determine whether ir or ser was used.
One more irregular verb!
Hacer- to do or make
 Hice
 Hiciste
 Hizo
-hicimos

-hicieron
¿Qué hiciste ayer?
Hice la tarea.
*The Z changes to a C in
all forms except the
Usted/él/ella form. This
change happens to keep
the “s” sound.
Hice like a
cat!

