OTAM
Automotive Technologies Research and Development Company
OTAM was established in collaboration with
Istanbul Technical University (ITU),
Automotive Manufacturers Organization (OSD),
Association of Automotive Parts and Components
Manufacturers(TAYSAD), and
Uludag Automotive Exporting Union (UIB)
in order to carry out of pre-production research and development and product
testing efforts of the automotive industry and its suppliers in cooperation with
the university.
(OTAM is a full member of EARPA and participates on task forces)

Objectives
• Bring together all the stake holders in automotive industry in Turkey
• Jointly determine the vision for Turkish automotive industry
• Jointly determine the strategic research areas (SRA) to achieve the
vision
• Organize for pre-competitive R&D projects on national and
European level in line with the SRA determined
• Communicate with TUBITAK and related European Technology
Platforms to create awareness for the vision and SRA
• Review the vision and SRA periodically each year
