The academic courses include:
3 Reading/Language Arts
3 Math
3 Science
3 Social Studies
1 Semester of Career Education
Each course must be passed with a
60% or higher to receive the credit.
What happens if your student fails
a class?
• The State of Florida says if you fail a class,
you’re going to have to fix it, and the only
way to fix it is to do it over.
Hypothetically let’s say
your child fails science
and history this year…..
If your child fails
Science and History,
his/her schedule
next year will look
something like this:
Period 1: Math
Period 2: Math
Period 3: Science
Period 4: Science (re-do)
Period 5: Language Arts
Period 6: Language Arts
Period 7: Social Studies
Period 8: Social Studies (re-do)
Whoa! Two sciences and two
histories . . . lots of work.
Students cannot
progress to the next
grade if 3 core
classes are failed.
Now is the time to
buckle down and
study hard!
There’s much
work to be done!

– At bottom of page select
Pinnacle Internet Viewer
– User name is your student ’s ID
# (6 digits)
– Password is your student’s birth
date (mmddyy)
• You can e-mail the teachers
from Pinnacle Viewer!
