Create a compressed .3dc file.
Open PowerPoint and create a slide in which to place the object.
Choose ViewToolbarsControl Toolbox.
Click on the bottom right “tool” icon in the Control Toolbox (named More
Controls) .
Choose "3DCT Viewer Class" from the list of controls.
Left click in your slide to place the ActiveX control. A rectangle will appear,
and it will say “URL Property not set”.
Right click on the 3DCT Viewer control and choose "Properties" .
In the Properties box, find the URL property. Replace the value with the
URL or name of the .3dc file and enter return. (A local file name will be
replaced by “atch://0” as the 3D data is attached to the PowerPoint
document, a full URL path will not.) Close the Properties box. Your file
should appear in the 3DCT Viewer control!
To view the 3D file in 3D mode, use the slide show mode.
If you share your ppt file with someone else, they need to download 3DCT
Viewer. Send them to our website’s demo page and they will be asked to
download the viewer. (Alternatively, if their security settings won’t accept
an ActiveX control, they can visit our download page to get the 3DCT
Viewer application.)
