ESFRI 2010
• Mandate
– Monitoring of the scientific development and the need for RIs
in the thematic areas, in consultation with existing relevant
scientific organisations.
– Following the implementation of the projects on the ESFRI
Roadmap and giving expert feedback to ESFRI, eg on the needed
coordination between different projects in the area.
– Advising ESFRI on whether projects should remain on future
editions of the Roadmap, and following a decision by ESFRI, to
evaluate possible proposals according to the agreed procedure for
the update of the Roadmap.
– Advising ESFRI on potential improvement in the pan-European
availability and management of existing RIs.
– Coordinate interdisciplinary activities with the other TWGs.

support the development of a European RI policy
A Roadmap Report with 44 projects
Worth ~20 B€ investments over the next ~10 years (ENV ~2 B€)
