Sometimes unsure as to what my "role" is. ______________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ Sometimes things got a little crazy with people from different schools talking at the ______________________________________________________________________ same time. ______________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ There is a lot of lost time because the schools aren't on the same bell schedule. ______________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ Tough to get extra help during the school day. ______________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ Sometimes could not hear or understand students and other sites. ______________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ Lack of internal support/communication within school-students not aware of offering, ______________________________________________________________________ counselor not promoting courses nor willing to make schedule conflict work for ______________________________________________________________________ students. ______________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ Unprepared host teacher. It could be difficult when teacher would fax items over at ______________________________________________________________________ the last minute needing them for THAT class. ______________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ Some teachers did not return assignments in a timely manner. ______________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ BOCES Distance Learning Program . . What changes would you offer to improve the DL program? ______________________________________________________________________ I would make sure the schools advertise it earlier so our juniors know what we have ______________________________________________________________________ to offer them when they make up their schedules. ______________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ Would like to have the teacher at the host site visit the away classroom more often. ______________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ Find a way for administrators and faculty to support DL. Many don't even know who ______________________________________________________________________ can teach courses, which ones can be offered etc. ______________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ One of my biggest problems was in trying to contact the DL room directly. Many ______________________________________________________________________ schools have complicated menu systems and it takes quite a lot of effort. It would be ______________________________________________________________________ easier if I could e-mail the other teachers with information about students. ______________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ Getting all the schools on the same time schedule.
