REMIT Portal went live
REMIT portal allows reporting parties to
start registering themselves as
Registered Reporting Mechanisms
(RRMs) and will become a central point
of entry to the Agency’s REMIT
Information System (ARIS)
Available on the REMIT portal also its
supporting documentation,

 ACER presents the
updated Gas Target Model
ACER’s vision for a competitive and secure
European gas market that benefits all consumers,
the so-called Gas Target Model (GTM), published
in January 2015
Agency’s recommendations for meeting the
new challenges faced by the European gas
market were heard by stakeholders from across
the sector at an event held on 16 January 2015
which gathered more than 120 participants and
many others joined through web stream
Recommendations aimed at improving
competitiveness to ensure security of supply;
facilitating the emergence of a well-functioning
and transparent wholesale market; and
optimising the role of gas in complementing RES
generation

Management Procedures (CMP)
13 January 2015 ACER published
its first Implementation Monitoring
Report on Gas Congestion
Management Procedures (CMP)
Based on surveys among TSOs and NRAs, detailed
analyses and case studies as well as an initial evaluation
of the effects of CMP implementation, the Agency finds
incomplete implementation and limited application of
congestion management procedures across the EU

wholesale energy market monitoring

06 February ACER published a Memorandum of
Understanding (MoU) signed with the US Federal Energy
Regulatory Commission (FERC) to enhance consultation,
cooperation and the exchange of information relating to the
monitoring of cross-border wholesale energy markets
MoU an important step in ensuring the effective monitoring of
wholesale electricity and gas market activities in both the US
and the EU and will promote market integrity and customer
protection in the global energy markets
