skills which will complete their course of study

New Hire Forms
All new hire forms are located on line under the
Student Employment page online
New hire forms should be completed with your
supervisor at the time you secure the position
International Students – follow specific instructions
(make appt. with SEC)
Pay Rates
$7.79 per hour – Minimum Wage for all Federal
positions
Hourly rates may vary according to position needs
and budget for University positions.
Timesheets
Timesheets are located on MY JU, under the Financial
Aid page
Students complete the “Green” sections
Email the timesheets to your supervisor by the due date
requirement (timesheets are due to FA bi-weekly
Mondays by 5pm)
Timesheets must be submitted from your JU email
account
Incomplete, incorrect and late timesheets will not be paid
out
Student Payroll Schedule is located at the top of the
timesheets page
Payroll
Paydays are bi-weekly on Fridays
Payroll calendar is posted on the website with the
timesheets – please adhere to the dates posted to
avoid delays in your pay
Direct Deposit – optional; form may be found on the
Student Employment website
Please note that it may take 2-3 pay cycles for direct deposit to
be active
Checks are available for pick-up at the Controller’s
windows in Howard
Tracking Wages
FWS- it is your and your supervisor’s responsibility
to keep track of your wages so you do not go over
your allotted amount each term; any overages will
not be paid out.

Securing Multiple Positions
New student workers may only hold one position on
campus at a time.
Returning student workers may hold multiple
positions, but the hours combined still may not
exceed 20 per week.
Injuries on the Job
Call 911 immediately if necessary!
If 911 has been called, notify Campus Security at
extension 7585
Supervisor or department representative should
contact Student Employment Coordinator or
Financial Aid Director (we will notify JU HR)
Workman’s Compensation paperwork will be
completed with JU HR Department
Important Information & Helpful Hints
Holding a campus position means you are holding a
position of trust; this is a real job!
All information must remain confidential! (FERPA –
Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 )
Fraud is not tolerated.
Respect the position you hold – it could lead to
glowing recommendations for future positions.
Communicate with your supervisors about your daily
tasks as well as your job performances on a regular
basis.
