- 1958 : Started with the foundation of Kumgang Slate Industries Ltd.
- 1974 : Korea Chemical Co., Ltd. Founded as a pioneering
coating materials manufacturer
- 1978 : KCC Automotive coating launched on HMC initial model ‘Pony’
- 1979 : Central Research Institute established
- 1992 : KCC Singapore Pte Ltd. founded
- 2000 : Kumgang merged with Korea Chemical Co., Ltd
into Kumgang Korea Chemical Co., Ltd.
- 2000 : KCC Chemical (Kunshan) Co., Ltd founded in Shanghai, China
- 2003 : KCC Chemical (Beijing) Co., Ltd founded in Beijing, China
- 2005 : Company name changed to KCC Corporation
- 2005 : KCC Chemical (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd established
- 2006 : Established KCC Paint Private Ltd. in Inida
- 2006 : Established KCC in Turkey
- 2007 : Established KCC Chemical (HK) Holdings Limited in Hong Kong
