In most of the countries where we have strong
presence of Sathya Sai Organisation in Africa,
regular activities are conducted under the following
wings:
• Devotion
• Service
• Education
However, other activities are as highlighted in the
following slides.

ZIMBABWE
• 300 Eye Kits were donated while around 150 patients
•

were treated for cataract at the Parirenyatwa Group of
Hospital in Harare, Zimbabwe.
Additional 100 Kits were provided for Bulawayo hospital.
Dr A.Kufa, Chief Executive Officer of Parirenyatwa Group
of Hospitals acknowledged the help.

MOMBASA KENYA
 Sai Vision 2013 sponsored 108 cataract operations in
dedication of Swami’s Guru Purnima Day that was
celebrated on 21st July, 2013.
 Christmas Seva at Mahali Pa Usalama where foodstuff
and ration was donated for the sexually abused children.
 Sai Bore Hole project conducted at Mahali Pa Usalama

TANZANIA
SERVICE ON AVATAR DAY
On 20th October 2013 - The Avataar Day Sai
Rememberance Day, about 25 members of Sri Satya Sai
Society of Tanzania comprising of Seva Dal and Youth wing
members went to serve Kondo ya Bahari community, 14
km away, in the outskirts of Dar es Salaam! Around total
400 (300 Kondo + 100 Blind children) members of this
community including children, women and old people were
provided with hot food, clothing, footwear, soft drinks, plenty
of water and snacks like biscuits, crisps and cakes!
"Daily News" of Tanzania carried the story.
CASABLANCA MOROCCO
Our service activity took place at a school for handicapped
children. Four participants served a vegetarian lunch to the
about 110 children accompanied by a yogurt based drink
and bananas.
NIGERIA
AVATHAR DECLARATION DAY/SERVE THE PLANET PROJECT 2013.
Devotees prayed over the food in the Sai Temple, Port Harcourt Nigeria
before they set out to serve on 20th October, 2013.
Food packs containing tasty jollof and fried
rice, enriched with sweet corn and sliced
carrots were served to more than 500 needy
people.
REPORT OF MEDICAL CAMP AT AMECHI-UNO IN ENUGU NIGERIA
HELD ON SATURDAY 8TH MARCH, 2014.
ACTIVITY AREAS INCLUDE:
Checking blood pressure and pulse rate
Body weight/Blood sugar check
Opening of medical cards keeping of records
Consulting clinic /Dispensing of free drugs
You could see the patients waiting for their turns. A total number of one hundred
and forty two (142) patients were treated for different ailments and given free
drugs.
GHANA
On 18th October, 2013, 13 Sathya Sai
volunteers served over 550 homeless people
at various communities adjoining the Nima
station mosque and the Central mosque.
Packets containing Jollof rice biscuits, fruit
drink, oranges, sugar, face towel and bed
sheet were lovingly distributed.
OTHER PROJECTS
• Borehole water project to be executed
by each Sai Centre in Africa to mark
Swami’s 90th birthday.
• By Baba’s grace, we are also planning
to perform African songs, dance and
drama depicting Swami’s teachings
here in Prashanthi Nilayam to mark
Swami’s 90th birthday.
