What It’s About
The research
apprenticeship program
(RAP) provides freshmen
and sophomore students a
paid research opportunity
to work with faculty
members pursuing their
own research. As a
research assistant you will
be exposed to the tools,
data, and types of research
methods that are used in
everyday classrooms or
businesses.
Where’s the fun?

As a R.A.P student you are
able to:
1. Choose a research
project to contribute to
during the upcoming
academic year.
2. Work four to five hours a
week and get paid!
3. Basic training in research
methods and ethics
through online support
modules
4. Participate in the campus
undergraduate research
day and attend the
University of Wisconsin
System Symposium on
Research and Creative
Activity.
