• • • Take 10 minutes to think about what you want to research.

This isn’t an quick endeavor. Basically, you could keep refining your topic until the time you start to write.

Words Think Read Review Interest Look Explore Discover Map Research Repeat Focus Credible Data Develop Write

• As you start your research, keep notes on what database you are currently using.

• Write down what key words you have used.

• Keep track of what words work and which ones don’t.

• As you start looking at articles, pay attention to subject terms used in the abstract. Start using some subject terms to get specific material on your topic.
