Consider a Language
Minor
You are already on
your way!
 Another language enables you to work, live and travel
in another country.
 Many career choices are only open to you if you have
another language.
 For many graduate programs, a second language is
required.
"Studying languages
and linguistics is one
of the most rewarding
experiences here at
Queen’s."
Andrea and Alanna, DSC Chairs
The study of languages unlocks
new worlds of literature and
culture.
Learning a language sparks your
creativity!
A minor in a language complements any major and
will stand out on your transcript.
It will make you competitive internationally, since
students outside of North America usually have more
than one language.
