Project Description
• Predesign study of the 40,000 GSF building to be
submitted to the Legislature in Fall 2014 to request
construction funding for 2015-2017 Biennium
• Initial design project is for shell & core
improvements estimated to be $16.3M TPC
• Continued design, including construction
documents, at the University’s discretion in
anticipation of construction start in Spring 2015
• Future design for tenant improvements, depending
on funding availability and University’s discretion
• Predesign and shell & core design is funded

Project Priorities
• Maximize value, flexibility, and assignable
space
• Maximize ‘warm shell’ infrastructure that
could be provided by the core and shell
project within the available budget
• Minimize non-essential changes to overall
building architecture
• Carry on the legacy of UWT’s historic
campus fabric
