Reminder of District 21 goals 2010-2012
Zonta International's main objective is to strengthen the status of women worldwide
through service and advocacy
• Zonta's visibility within the district will increase
• By sharing with ourselves and our skills, we will make Zonta visible and, thus, contribute to
the fulfillment of Zonta's aims
• We want to raise the interest in our national and international scholarhips. This way, we will
be able to give economic, moral and human support to young women
• We want to improve women's right to good health and legal status by informing objectively
about legislative changes and its meaning both internally within our organization and
externally, by contributing to dissemination of information and by keeping us informed on
how laws are followed
• We want to focus on and make service projects and Zonta's collaboration with UN agencies
visible and known. An example is the campaign "Zonta Zom Zamlar Zlantar" (=Zontians
Collecting Coins). Through this campaign District 21 aims to raise funds for about 1 000 000
SEK in a 12-month period (from March 8 a year to March 8 the following year). Donations to
selected projects shall amount to about 65 USD per member per year
• Through our commitment and credibility, we want to rejuvenate and increase membership in
our organization. Above all, we want to keep and care about our existing members
• Membership increase by at least one member per club per year

Ulla Ljungh-Hoff Stockholm II
… has been presented with the International Meritorious Service Award ”in
recognition of exceptional service to ZI. We commend you for your 45 years of
leadership at the club, district and international levels of ZI! Your tireless efforts to
advance the status of women in Sweden and around the world demonstrate your
dedication to the spirit and mission of ZI. Your commitment to Zonta, as evidenced by
your service as an International Director, member of the International Nominating
Committee and Chairman and member of the International Bylaws and Resolutions
Committee, along with your continued commitment to D21 and the Zonta Club of
Stockholm II, is an example to us all”, writes International President Dianne Curtis in
her letter to Ulla
PIP Beryl says ”Ulla has been an ACTIVE Zonta since 1966(!), Ulla has been ”past
almost everything” a true pioneer for our Swedish and Latvian Zontians in all
respects. We can thank Ulla for being a district. Ulla is the person who has formulated
our original bylaws. There are few Zontians who have participated in so many
international meetings and international Conventions as Ulla, she is a record holder
also in this respect! Ulla is a highly respected lawyer and she has actively contributed
to the fact that our international bylaws are so understandable”!
Ulla was presented with the International Meritorious Service Award at the Area
Meeting in Stockholm on October 1, 2011

Organization Membership and Classification (OMC)
Goal 2010 was
• net increase by 1 member/club/year, totally abt. 140
(cocky or possible?!) In the autumn last year we
claimed possible… what about today?
• Number of members has decreased 2010-2011
- so, we must become more Zontians!
Work on it – there are several good examples
