Who is eligible?
• ACA trainees
• ICAEW qualified chartered
accountants without a degree
wanting a first degree and/or to
progress to a fast-track Master’s
degree
• Students and trainees can take
top up modules from Birkbeck to
complete their degree concurrently
with the ACA or when they have
completed their 12 Certificate and
Professional Level modules

What do I do if I haven’t trained ACA students
before?
• Students studying for the ACA and the degree, need to be
employed by an ICAEW Authorised Training Employer
• They must also complete all the essential elements of the
ACA:
– Exams
– 450 days technical work experience
– Initial professional development
– Structured training in ethics
• The programme provides for all of these through training with
the employer and Birkbeck
