What do we ask for?
• Personal details
• Academics
• Competency questions
• Work experience
• Awards and membership – achievements other than your academics
Application Process
Give yourself the time you need to complete the application form to the best of
your ability.
Research what you are applying to, this includes the company, position you are
applying to and the long term career. There is no point securing a position you do
not really want just because you feel you should.
Ask somebody to read over your form before you submit it, things like spelling
errors can make a good application look average.
Application Process
Don’t be vague in your answers, you are usually given a word count as guidance
of how much you need to write. It is OK to not use it all but make sure fully answer
the question.
Don’t dismiss things you have done, employers are interested in applicants that
are able to offer a variety of experiences and it does not all need to be obviously
relevant to the role.
Don’t complete applications for the sake of it, you are better applying to 5 or 6
companies that you really want to work for than 20 because you are worried about
securing a role.
