AFP’s MISSION
The Association of Fundraising Professionals, an
association of professionals throughout the world,
advances philanthropy by enabling people and
organizations to practice ethical and effective
fundraising. The core activities through which AFP
fulfills this mission include education, training,
mentoring, research, credentialing, and advocacy.

districts
– 4 ex-officio members
– 2 COD Chair appointees
• Role of COD
– Evaluates all nominees for the AFP Board
– Creates slate of District and At-large Directors to be
elected by the members
