Why Invest in ECD
 Children who participate in well-conceived ECD
programs tend to be more successful in later
school.
 better prepared for school and frequently stay in
school longer.
 Working mothers need safe child care.
 ECD interventions in health and nutrition
programs increase children's chances of survival.
 A healthy cognitive and emotional development
in the early years translates into tangible
economic returns.

Why Invest in ECD?
The Aga Khan Rural Support Programme
How We Can
Help????
The Aga Khan Rural Support Programme
 We value and support individuals
and organizations that are involved
in the care and education of children
and strive to ensure that tools,
resources and training opportunities
are available to support the delivery
of top quality care to children.
The Aga Khan Rural Support Programme
 We strive to equip parents to make
sound child care choices by
increasing their awareness of child
care options available and having
information available on making
sound child care decisions.
The Aga Khan Rural Support Programme
 We struggle to support our
communities in building a
comprehensive quality child care
system. Through the coordination
and facilitation of community
planning activities, needs are
assessed and responded
accordingly by parents, caregivers,
educators and organizations
working together.
The Aga Khan Rural Support Programme
 In addition, we work towards
building the capacity for best
practices within our child care system
by leading community development
initiatives and engaging in local and
national research projects that
enhance the range and quality of
services available to families and
children within our Regions.
