 Sept 30, 07, ACOE-Huntsville District completed standard design for large
centers using Fort Benning ACS center MILCON project as the model

Accreditation is –
A Department of the Army process for recognizing ACS centers for
high levels of performance, integrity and quality
Tied to Army BOD Mission Box Standards, ISR-III
Effective for a three-year period
EFMP accreditation process includes regional medical command
FAP and EFMP staff.
IMCOM teams evaluate compliance with standards

ACS Accreditation Process
 Notification
- Region sends memorandum to Garrison Commander six months before visit
 Self-Study
- Installation completes self-study and corrects areas of non-compliance
- Copy of self-study with pre-site documentation is provided to team leader prior to
the visit
 IMCOM Region Site Visit
- Determination of compliance with standards made on-site
- Accreditation report provided to IMWR-FP after visit if installation meets
accreditation requirements
- Interim installation status report provided to IMWR-FP when accreditation
requirements are not met
 Accreditation Decision
- IMWR-FP Evaluates report and accreditation recommendation
- CG, FMWRC decides to accredit or defer accreditation and notifies installation
commander of decision

Family Advocacy Program

Victim Advocates – central contract provides victim advocates for
Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault victims

Sexual Assault – central contract provides Sexual Assault Response
Coordinator and training

New Parent Support Program – Support services that meet the DoD
qualifying criteria of 300 live births; provides play groups, home visitors

Fatality Review Board – conduct post review of all child and spouse
abuse as part of program improvement

Transitional Compensation – provides monetary compensation and
benefits for dependents of military personnel on active duty who are
separated or sentenced to total forfeiture of pay and allowances for a
dependent-abuse offense.

Military Family Life Consultants (MFLC)
• Mission:
– Augments Existing Services
– Enhances community Family support services by offering licensed
clinical social workers and psychologists to address various issues that
Soldiers and Families face before and after deployment.
– MFLCs will surge to locations based on pre-deployment and
redeployment schedules.
• Assist in reducing stress through informal support (e.g., workshops,
classes, focus groups, and liaison with local community).
• Work directly with Army Community Service and Reserve
Component State and Regional Readiness Staff to provide reunion
and reintegration support.

Army Volunteer Corps (AVC)
Army Volunteer Corps – provides a corporate identify for all volunteers
providing service to Soldiers and Families. Integrator of Volunteer Services on

Function
The Warfighter and Family Services includes manpower authorizations,
peculiar and support equipment, contracts and associated costs to provide
principle mission readiness resources for leaders at all levels, Service
members and their Families, qualifying DoD personnel and their Families,
deployed civilians, and military retirees and their Families, offering
information, education, prevention and intervention, and services
necessary to address the unique personal and Family readiness needs of
the mobile and deployed military community.
