JTAG-Assisted Debug Values for
Tornado 2.2
• You cannot always afford to dedicate an Ethernet port to the Tornado debug channel
• Designs that don’t support Ethernet
• Designs that require all of the Ethernet ports to run at full speed
• You want to debug the Ethernet driver with Tornado Tools
• You want to have access to the target after crashes
• The JTAG/Tornado Tools connection does not die if the target crashes
• Tornado Tools can be used to debug a VxWorks/application crash
