Working Group ?
 Partnership Board agreed to establish
Working Groups at March 2003 Board
meeting
 Communication - essential and integral
element of health programmes - often
overlooked and under-funded.
 RBM strategies are being scaled-up to meet
RBM goals 2005/2010/2015

Communication and advocacy activities need also to
be “scaled-up”

as integral elements of malaria control and
other relevant health programmes

as complementary elements….in support of
country malaria control strategies

advocacy increased at all levels to support the
fight against malaria and achieve RBM goals

have IEC & other communication elements BUT…
 are they effective, appropriate, sustained ?
 do they have enough emphasis or support ?
 is there the capacity to deliver ?

and advocacy to help attain RBM goals?
