ATLAS Software Week - 10 December 2004
Many discussions this week
Feedback from CTB Issues related to DC2 operation Grid middleware and our production system Software development and release plans Software testing Planning and scheduling methodology New ESRAT coordination Armin Nairz will take over as Geant4 Coordinator from January 2005 Release schedule for 2005 Computing Model and Resources Some of these issues will come up for discussion again this afternoon in the CMB/SPMB meeting Dario Barberis: Conclusions 3
ATLAS Software Week - 10 December 2004
Format of the Software & Computing week
A few main sessions and several shorter “working group” meetings up to 3 parallel sessions Some main “tracks”: Simulation, Reconstruction, EDM, PESA, Physics Analysis Tools Data Challenges, Production System, Grid Middleware Core Software, Infrastructure, Data Management Computing Model, ICB Question 1: do people like it this way? please give us feedback before we start organizing next s/w week Question 2: where do we place tutorials?
in s/w week in parallel with everything else near s/w week with week-end in-between (people travel once) far from s/w week (people travel twice) Dario Barberis: Conclusions 4
