Son of Matthew M. Maddox (1814-1904) And Martha R. Bowden Maddox (1815-1895) Matthew M. Maddox was son of Samuel Maddox, Jr.

who was son of Samuel Maddox, Sr.

(a Revolutionary War Soldier who died in 1821).

   FGB’s parents, Matthew & Martha had 15 children Six moved to Mississippi in approx. 1873 Some known names: Laura (wife of Singleton McCollough); Jess (or Jesse); John (scout who deserted Confederacy); Kathryn (wife of John Spurlin); Alfred, Jim (also called “Hoppin’ Jim); Matthew; and Cornelius.
