 Service joint funded by Local Authority (DAAT) and PCT.

Shared Care in Salford

 Around 750 drug users in treatment with SDAS, 150 seen in shared care = 20%  No of GPs involved in shared care, 66 out of 128 = 30% • PCT now commission LES • All GP’s Allocated Specialist Worker who can run clinic at practice

Harm Reduction Service

 Needle Exchange  Observed Consumption  Pharmacy Liaison  Overdose Prevention/Take Home Naloxone for service users/family and carers

Links With Young People’s Services

 Lifeline - SMART  Youth Offending Team (Y.O.T)  Transitional Workers for young people entering adult treatment

Social Care

 Developed Social Services Budget For Rehabilitation  Supported Housing/Tenancy Team  Dual Diagnosis Social Worker  Community engagement worker

Detoxification Service

 Home Detox  Community Detox  In-Patient Detox  Naltrexone Prescribing  Recovery/Day Care Services (Aspire)

Criminal Justice Team

 DRR  Test on Arrest Service  Prison Link  Court Worker  Alcohol Bail Scheme

GP Liaison Service

 Areas of Salford arranged into 3 patches. East, Central and West  All Salford GPs have a named GP Liaison Worker Allocated to their practice.

 GPSI.  Observed consumption at Local chemist in Salford with SDAS, Pharmacy scheme successful.

Stimulant Services

 Support Group  Dedicated Drop-in for Advice, Counselling & Health Checks.

 Acupuncture  Evening Group and Peer Support.

Maternity & Family Services

 Specialist Midwife (Full Time)  Sexual Health Screening  Contraceptive Service  Family Liaison Social Worker  Support For Drug Using Parents/Carers
