Let’s take a look at some other ways people have
used light to do some interesting things.
You can get really tricky using
light and mirrors

Over time the camera obscura got smaller and smaller. This meant artists
could travel from place to place creating realistic paintings or drawings of
different landscapes and people.

Let’s recap on what we have learnt so far…
some amazing things…
have
Light
• can help keep us warm, help grow plants
and provide power through solar panels
• travels in a straight line
• can be directed on to a new path
using mirrors and reflection
• can be used to project an image of the
outside environment
• is needed for a camera obscura to work.
Many artists use this to help create realistic
drawings and paintings.
In the next lesson we will explore
“Cameras and History”.
