Inner Critic: internal voice that criticizes
us for all that goes wrong.

Inner Defender: Inner voices that seeks to
avoid criticism by deflecting it outwardly by
blaming outside circumstances, people or
situations.
“I could have done it but they …,” “I would
have been able to, but I had to …”
