. To clarify or emphasize a verb’s reciprocal meaning, use phrases like

fra di loro

l’un l’altro

(males only), or

l’un l’altra

(when there is one or more female in a group).

Renzo e Lucia

si guardano l’un l’altra

Renzo and Lucia are looking at one another.

Reflexives in the passato prossimo

Always conjugate reflexive verbs, including reciprocals, with

essere

in the

passato prossimo

. Remember that the past participle has to agree with the subject.
