Think before you begin a job
ALWAYS Cut away from your body
Do not use your knee pad as a cutting board.
Wear gloves when cutting for a splice or belt
Never walk with a knife open.
Know where the blade is at all times while cutting and
where your free hand is positioned.
Use a sharp knife, not a dull one.
When cutting something overhead ALWAYS cut away
from your body and make sure you have solid footing.
Use the proper tool for the job. Do not use a knife as a
screw driver, etc.
Fifty three percent of knife injuries at Alpha Operations have occurred while
cutting belts or making cable splices. Do not get in a hurry when using a knife.

Now, consider this: H is the eighth letter of the
alphabet, A is the first, N is the fourteenth, and D
is the fourth.
8+1+14+4=27
H+A+N+D=27
