Before anything else. . .
Drink water
Go to the bathroom
Brief exam and vital signs

Outer gloves . . . Check.
Footies (clear) . . . Check.
Standard footies . . . Check.
Outer rubber boots . . . Check.
Tyvek suit . . . Check.
No rips, intact seams . . . Check.
Everything together
Air filters for PAPR . . . Check.
Battery pack . . . Check.
PAPR hood and hose . . . Check.
Everything together
Donning
Sit and take off your shoes
Put on foot covers
Suit on to waist
Heavy outer boots
Pull them all the way on
Your buddy can help you
Tape the boot to the suit
Seal it tightly
Leave a flap for later
Put on inner gloves
Outer gloves on (or not)
Suit on, outer gloves over
Buddy tape on outer gloves
Make a tight seal
Secure this well
Don’t forget the flap
Sealed outer glove (with flap)
Zip the suit (almost all the way)
Tuck in the suit hood
Prepare filters
Remove screw cap

Screw filter to PAPR

Plug in the battery, test flow
Check air flow meter
Put the hood on
Adjust so you can see
Buddy help put on belt
PAPR belt
Cinch the belt tightly
Tuck in the PAPR inner flap
Tuck the inner flap
Tuck all around
Now seal the front of the suit
Take the air hose and . . .
Put it OVER your shoulder
Fully CHARGED battery
Hook battery to belt
Battery out of the way
Secure the connection
Fully suited . . .
Label everyone clearly
Record the “time on air”
Ready to go!
Doffing
Last one through . . .
Nothing like a shower

Sit down
Your buddy is watching
Undo the tape flap
Un-tape the outer boots
Un-tape boots
What is wrong with this?
Dispose in CLEAR bags
Remove the outer boot
Collect (or dispose) outer boot
Grasp outer glove tape flap
Remove tape
Remove tape
Remove outer gloves
Unhook the PAPR belt
Pull the outer flap OVER head
Pull PAPR hood forward
Place hood on ground
Unseal and unzip suit
Unzip suit
Peel front to back
Unroll like a banana
Keep peeling
Unpeel into receptacle
Remove shoe covers
Warm Zone
Cold Zone
