Besoin à couvrir
• Complément de couverture BA/TBA lors de
déploiement tactique (exemple : DPSA, exercice
OTAN, G20, …)
• Complément/résilience de couverture lors de
déploiements permanents/planifiés (exemples : ZIT,
zones sensibles, zone d’exclusion permanente)
• Déploiement OPEX
• Veille/complément d’information de système de
défense sol/air

Proposal of methodology
– Definition of operational scenarios with:
• Target(s) (helicopter, ultralight, small aircraft, …)
• Trajectory
• Environment:
– Geographic (urban area, mountainous area, …)
– Electromagnetic
BPROG/CMI/TELEC AUG
Page 33

Definitions
– Coverage complement
• Gap filler of High/Medium Altitude active radar, homeland
deployment
– Coverage resiliency
• Replacement of a faulty Low Altitude active radar, homeland
deployment
– Foreign deployment
• Less information on transmitters than for homeland use
• Large speed range: low to high speeds (10 m/s – 900 m/s)
– Tactical deployment:
• “Light” deployment, logistic restrictions (sensors network, energy,
…), less than half a day to install the radar
– Planned/permanent deployment:
• Few logistic restrictions (sensors network, energy, …), improved
performances
