Who Pays for the EAP Services?
• Services within the scope of the EAP are paid by
Rider University
• Payment for resources beyond the scope of the
EAP may be covered by health insurance
• BHS will assist in locating cost-effective resources
when additional or follow-up services are needed

• Up to 5 sessions per episode (including a full assessment and
problem solving session)
• Unlimited, toll-free telephonic consultation
• Access to a panel of professionals nationwide
• 24/7, 365 days a year access to services
• Referral service and liaison with community
resources including health insurance carriers
• Additional work/life resources
What Can You Expect When You Call?
• Connected with a Care Coordinator who will:
— Thoroughly assess your
needs
— Guide you through the process
— Assure that all of your emergent needs are met
— Facilitate communication with all parties involved
— Connect you to the most appropriate local
resources
— Regularly follow-up to ensure satisfaction
What Happens at an EAP Session?
• In-depth assessment by an EAP clinician
• A plan for problem resolution will be devised with
the help of the clinician
• Short-term counseling provided by the clinician
• Problem-solving resources, outside referrals and
follow-up services supplied by clinician
Can You be Assured of Confidentiality?
• Shared information is held in strict confidence
• EAP professionals are bound by state and federal
laws prohibiting breeches in confidentiality
• Information will not be released without your
written consent or as required by law
Note: Professionals are required by law to report if a person is a danger to themselves or
others, instances of child or elder abuse, and any threats to national security.

• Referral packets received within 12 business hours of
