1- About HBRC & UTI

Housing & Building National Research Center HBRC

Housing & Building National Research Centre– (HBRC) is a national governmental research establishment which was founded in 1954. It is subordinated to the Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities.

HBRC performs a leading role in enhancing the performance of housing & building sector through scientific research, consultations and training for the purpose of improving the living and environmental conditions of cities in Egypt & Middle East.

It has more than 300 Academic staff in different fields related to urban development.

HBRC Mission Statement is to carry out all urban policy studies and researches, conducting applied researches for the construction field and capacity building.

Development of Building Codes & Technical Specifications is one of the main responsibilities of HBRC.
