SMART Tools
NZCER describes smart tools as
“thinking and learning tools that
support transfer of knowledge.” Smart
Tools generate feedback that allows
their users to:
•inquire into their own and others’
practice; lead change,
•analyse and respond to data sets,
•think smarter and therefore act
more effectively; and
•evaluate, monitor and assess.
