time and money.

teacher salaries could be better spent on academic
learning.
CM – Actually, many schools already have locker
rooms and gyms, so it does not cost any more money
to use the facilities already in place.
This is money well spent for our future generation.

real life experiences in places like college.

Reason # 2 – Shaping Sheet





Ts – Physical Education class gives students a break from
the regular classroom.
Cd – This daily activity allows students some mental
break time from regular academic classes, and it even
allows socializing with friends.
Cd – Since a typical middle school day is filled with
learning, PE gives students time to refresh and think
about their day.
Cm – This is important as students have now burned
off extra or unneeded energy, and they are now ready
to learn.
Cs - PE gives students more freedom, while making
sure they are not locked inside all day.

Reason # 3 – Shaping Sheet
Ts - PE promotes a healthy lifestyle.
Cd – As obesity rates continue to rise in the
United States, it is crucial for children to get
the one hour of daily physical exercise during
this class.
Cd – Students need to strengthen their bodies,
improve blood circulation, and build the heart
and lung every day so they can live a longer,
happier life.
Cm –Even a short PE class can get students into
a habit of daily exercise so they may continue
this routine later in life.

encourages the well being of every middle school
student.
