Step 1
Arrange Flowers
 Choose flowers that are pretty to begin with
 Arrange flowers so the colored petals are the showcase
 If using a rounded flower like rose or carnation you
may dismantle and reconstruct the dried petals
Step 2
Insert into the press
 Arrange your flowers on a piece of wax paper
 Cover with another piece of wax paper
 Place in between several sheets of newspaper
 Stick into a heavy book
 Close book and place another heavy object on top
until flowers are nearly flat
Step 3
Allow Flowers to dry
 Depending on temperature and humidity the flowers
could take up to several weeks to dry
 Hopefully ours won’t take that long
 There are some tricks to speed up the process if
needed
Step 4
Using the flowers once they are pressed and dry
 framed arrangements
 stationary
 bookmarks
 greeting cards
 scrapbooks
Step 5
Attaching the flowers to your project
 use white glue or craft glue
 press between two panes of glass
 handle pressed flowers with care they can become
brittle
